We ship quickly and your item will be dispatched ASAP following payment (we ship Monday to Friday, obviously excluding Bank Holidays). You will receive an email to let you know that your order has been dispatched.
We take great care to ensure your items arrive in great condition: we print your address onto a label, so the postperson can clearly read it. The address details you provide are the ones we use so please make sure your details are correct: we are not liable if you have given us any incorrect details (spelling mistakes, etc).
We reserve the right to send any large, bulky or fragile orders by a courier service.
In very rare circumstances an order could be delayed due to strike action by mail services or in the event of a natural disaster (such as flooding or bad weather affecting postal services) at any point along the shipping path but this will be an issue that everyone in the vicinity would be affected by and aware of.
Please note: Personalised items are made to order, are not held in stock by their nature and timescales will apply - please take this into account if you are buying a gift for a special occasion, birthday or event. Check the item for specific delivery timescales and make sure you order your item in good time for it to be personalised to order and delivered! We cannot be held responsible if we have dispatched your order within the quoted timescales.

Proud To Be A... does not have any access to any of your PayPal details (email address or user name used to log-in, passwords or credit/debit card numbers). This information is processed externally by PayPal - you are transferred securely to their website and then returned back to this one once the payment has gone through. You can cancel the payment process at any time prior to pressing the 'confirm payment' button.

You have a legal right to cancel your order up to and including 14 (fourteen) working days after you have received your goods in line with The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014.
However - please note, in line with DSRs and the Office of Fair Trading, items that have been personalised cannot be cancelled once they have started the production phase and cannot be returned as they have been made for you. This means extra care is needed by you when ordering your item to ensure the spelling and punctuation (if applicable) is correct. We cannot be held responsible if you have mis-spelt a word on your order.
If you need to cancel a non-personalised (or personalised if it has not yet begun production) order, you must do this by writing to us or emailing us as soon as possible, giving us your order number and/or contact details (this allows us to identify your order). If you formally cancel your order once it has already been sent to you, but before you receive it, you have a legal right to refuse delivery.
If you have already received your order and you wish to cancel within the fourteen working day time-frame, you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the items whilst they are in your possession. Under Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, if you do not exercise reasonable care and the goods are damaged or have been used, we have a right to deduct money from the refund. If you cancel an order within the specified time-frame and you have already received it, you are required to return the item(s) (and packaging, where possible, being mindful of your duty to take care of the items) to us. If you fail to return the goods, we may have a claim against you for breach of contract.
We will refund the costs of the goods as well as any postage you paid at the time of placing the order or offer a replacement, depending on your preference. We may refund the cost of returning the items to us at our discretion, but definitely if it's because of a mistake at our end or your goods are defective. We will refund you as soon as possible using your original payment method. It is advisable to obtain proof of posting, in case the items go missing in the postal system.
Your statutory rights as a customer are not affected.
We take your privacy seriously. We comply with the new Data Protection Act (DPA) (2018) and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). The only details we have are your name, address and email address (and telephone number if given) when you submit them in order to have your item delivered to you (it wouldn't go far without it!) We also have the data of your personalisation (the details you want to put on your item - name, short message, etc.) If you want the item to go to a different address, we also need details of that. These details, where applicable, will also be shared with our suppliers in order to process your order. They too will be subject to DPA and GDPR regulations.
As stated in the 'Payment' section of this page, when you pay for your item we do not see or have any access to your credit or debit card details; these are processed externally via the PayPal system.
We keep some emails for our records which are stored securely in a password protected cloud - in case of return, dispute and also for us to do our accounts (boo!) You are free to ask us to delete your personal details, which will appear on the following: our notification of order received email, notification of PayPal payment received (name and address only - no financial details), supplier order confirmation and dispatch notification (if applicable), Royal Mail order confirmation (if applicable) and our emails to you confirming your order and letting you know it has been dispatched. We will only email you to confirm your order and to let you know when your order has been dispatched, as we're sure you'd want to know that! Other than that, on rare occasions we may need to email you if there is a problem with your order or if you have asked us a question. We do not sell or otherwise use any of your personal details (including email or home address).
A cookie is a small file which helps us analyse web traffic such as which pages are the most popular and the times of day people mostly visit the site. The traffic log cookie is placed on your hard drive once permission is granted by you and your computer. When we look at who has visited the site it shows us an IP address and location (normally a city near to you but sometimes it's not even that accurate!) and a list of visited pages with times - we are unable to see any other information, such as names, addresses, etc.
